Book Your Future Reads is a feature on Stories in Space where I put a spotlight on upcoming releases that deserve recognition, a spot on your to be read lists, and to be your next pre-order purchases. Through this feature I want highlight novels I am excited about and novels I think you should be excited about too. This week I’m putting a spotlight on two upcoming romance novels: The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon and Much Ado About You by Samantha Young.
The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon
The first novel The Ex Talk is definitely one that should be on your radar. Now why should you book this novel into your future as a potential pre-order and read? The Ex Talk has the following three aspects that should convince you,
- A new spin on the fake dating trope, the main characters are fake exes.
- An enemies to lovers romance, which usually means amazing banter.
- A diverse cast of characters: Shay is Jewish and Dominic is Korean.
The Ex Talk comes out on January 26, 2021. You can pre-order the novel on Amazon, The Book Depository, or The Ripped Bodice and add it to your Goodreads. Below is the cover and synopsis for the novel.
Public radio co-hosts navigate mixed signals in Rachel Lynn Solomon’s sparkling romantic comedy debut.
Shay Goldstein has been a producer at her Seattle public radio station for nearly a decade, and she can’t imagine working anywhere else. But lately it’s been a constant clash between her and her newest colleague, Dominic Yun, who’s fresh off a journalism master’s program and convinced he knows everything about public radio.
When the struggling station needs a new concept, Shay proposes a show that her boss green-lights with excitement. On The Ex Talk, two exes will deliver relationship advice live, on air. Their boss decides Shay and Dominic are the perfect co-hosts, given how much they already despise each other. Neither loves the idea of lying to listeners, but it’s this or unemployment. Their audience gets invested fast, and it’s not long before The Ex Talk becomes a must-listen in Seattle and climbs podcast charts.
As the show gets bigger, so does their deception, especially when Shay and Dominic start to catch feelings for each other. In an industry that values truth, getting caught could mean the end of more than just their careers.
Much Ado About You by Samantha Young
The second novel is Much Ado About You. Now why should you book this novel into your future as a potential pre-order and read? Much Ado About You has the following three aspects that should convince you,
- A meet cute in a small English village that happens because of a dog.
- A bookish heroine and a sexy farmer hero.
- More than one love story woven into the novel.
Much Ado About You comes out on February 2, 2021. You can pre-order the novel on Amazon, The Book Depository, or The Ripped Bodice and add it to your Goodreads. Below is the cover and synopsis for the novel.
