Hi, there world travelers and fellow book slayers! I’m here with a wrap-up post for June, maybe a bit late but it’s here nonetheless. June was a great month for me. My summer vacation from University started, I got all As on my assignments, I went to Gran Canaria with my mom, I saw Arctic Monkeys live, and lastly, I read lots of books. In June I read 12 books which feels like a personal record of some sort. I talked about what I read during my vacation in my blog post Books I Read in Gran Canaria. However, I got more read during the month than the books I mentioned in that post so I thought I’d list them all here together with my ratings of them.

My August in Books {#arcaugust, books read, and book purchases}
Hi everyone in the galaxy! Another month has passed and it’s been a really good one. During August I’ve read a lot of books (to be fair a lot of them were short but who cares, it was still a lot for me) and I’ve also bought a few more books than I usually do. I bought a couple of paperbacks for the first time in months (instead of just ebooks) so I’m very excited about those, both to read and to share them with you guys.

August 2016 Wrap Up
August has been a great blogging month for me, I posted x posts all together and have gained a lot of new friends in the blogging community. As August is the last month of summer I have tried to enjoy as many day as I can, especially since I just started university again earlier this week and I have to focus on that. On Friday I leave for an 8 day vacation to Mallorca, Spain and I cannot wait to enjoy this beautiful island all over again. Since Sweden didn’t have much of a summer this year then I’ll definitely make the most out of this week. Updating will be a bit slower than usually but I still have a few posts scheduled for you.
Lets summarize August, now shall we!
Books Read
As you can see I’ve only read two books this month (I think I’m unfortunately in a reading slump) but I have reviewed them both and the reviews are linked below.
Books Reviewed
- Roller Girl by Vanessa North
- Anything But Love by Abigail Strom
- The Smell of Other People’s Houses by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock
- Keeping Her Secret by Sarah Nicolas
Other Bookish Blog Posts
First of all, I decided to attempt ARC August and though I did fail tremendously, you can read about the goal I set up for myself here.
Amy and I did another Moody Book Monday with the theme All Good Things Come in Threes,
This month I decided to join the band wagon and started doing Top Ten Tuesday posts. I love lists and a lot of their themes are just so exciting. I knew I just had to do a few of them. You can read my posts here,
- Top Ten Tuesday #1 Ten Books I’d Buy Right This Second If Someone Handed Me A Fully Loaded Gift Card
- Top Ten Tuesday #2 REWIND Top Ten Books I HAD to Buy but Still Have Not Read
- Top Ten Tuesday #3 Unread Books From Before I Started Blogging
When I started doing Top Ten Tuesday I stumbled upon the meme Waiting on Wednesday which is all about books we are anticipating, I knew I had to join that as well so here are my choices this month,
- Waiting On Wednesday #1 As I Descended by Robin Talley
- Waiting on Wednesday #2 Clancy of the Undertow by Christopher Currie
I of course posted several Freebie Friday posts this month. I definitely recommend you check them out. If you missed a week you might be lucky and find a book that’s still free!
I have also published a few book discussion posts, some book recommendations as well as a book tag I loved making,
- Ten Things I Hate About You: Book Edition
- Lusting For Cover
- Want to swim with Mermaids? Here are some Book Recommendations
- The Hayley Kiyoko Book Tag
Lastly, I introduced the Writing Cave part of my blog,
How was your August? Which books did you read? If you posted something you liked in particular then send the post to me, I’d love to read it!
July 2016 Wrap Up
July came and went, and it really has been a lovely month. In the beginning of the month I stayed with my best friend Amy for ten days (she’s the girl I make the Moody Book Monday posts with) and it was just the best. We got to just hang out, celebrate her birthday and she showed me Amsterdam. I loved it, it was amazing staying with my best friend and exploring a new country for the first time.
This is actually my first wrap up post ever, which is mostly due to the fact I just started blogging four months ago and I wasn’t as active earlier during the year. So now, what happened during July? Let’s summarize!
Books Read
During July I have read the following books, I’ll be linking them to Goodreads so you can check them out and add them. While you’re at it, you should totally add me on there to see more of my bookish thoughts. My Goodreads.
- Interim Goddess of Love by Mina V. Esguerra
- Queen of the Clueless by Mina V. Esguerra
- Icon of the Indecisive by Mina V. Esguerra
- Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton
- Roller Girl by Vanessa North
Books Reviewed
During July I have reviewed 3 books on the blog. Some I enjoyed more than others but in case you missed one of them, you can read the reviews again and check out my thoughts.
Other Bookish Blog Posts
During July I’ve posted several book recommendations posts, as well as several different book feature posts. Here is a quick recap of them.
I’ve continued with my blog feature Freebie Friday where I recommend books that are currently free.
Another book recommendations post I made this month is “Olivia Chanel’s Book Restaurant” which got amazing response. In it I recommend different kinds of books depending on what you order at the restaurant.
I also posted a discussion post where I talk about all of the books I’m really excited to read in the future.
Amy and I did another Moody Book Monday, this time with the theme of which books you would want to put in a time capsule to be opened in 25 years.
During July I also started a new blog feature called YA Fantasy Gets Social Media and posted my first post about that. It was centered around Unicorn Tracks and is essentially an alternative universe of what it would like if characters in fantasy worlds had the social media we use today.
